Drove half an hour to find the post office had been shut down but showing open on Google.
Drove for 1 hour to be told that the person that does the biometric registration is not there!!!! They said it says on the website to call first BUT IT DOES NOT!!!! It actially advises you to go on a Tuesday as its less busy. The manager must be a complete moron if he lacks basic common sense to either warn people on the site to call first or at least have more staff that can do the biometric test! Please get better managment at least one with half a brain.
All I wanted was to get a stamp for a card to the Netherlands and I was asked so many questions about other things. The man was obviously trying to get more business for the Post Office. The queue was growing, because there was only one person on the counter. I will never visit there again.
Had to came 2 time twice to do home office biometric!! Frist time had to go back because you had to do appointment and there were 2 hour waiting!! Came back two days after tried to make appointment over the phone but unable to do it. Then came all the way from blackpool AGAIN then made appointment, an hour later did the biometric.. while waiting I noticed even though there were 4 staff working it was only down to one lady who were working on biometric and also shes got to do the travel moneys as well.. its frustrating for other people who came to post office.. also this post office need at least one trained bi-lingual staff who can performed the job more smoothly and will have more patent to deal with migrant customers...
Always have to queue now since the Post Office moved to the back of WH Smith. Couple of staff members try and force people to use self service and counter staff seem more interested in up selling services like mortgages, credit cards, check and send passports, special delivery postage
