Fantastic pub, brilliant and friendly landlord and customers, no hot food but various barms and pork pies available. Live music every Sunday at 6pm. This is our most favourite place to go in Chorley

Gosh it was super quiet on xmas eve..however, it was after 10...when we arrived. But quiet was just what I wanted!
This is a real champion of Chorley's pub scene. This is very much a pub in the traditional style - warm fire, friendly staff, a quality selection of real ales, and music that adds to your experience rather than forcing you to shout to hear each other. The place is dog-friendly and seems to attract the kind of friendly types who want a nice pint and a chat. They serve sandwiches, pork pies, and other snacks which are a great touch - especially on cold, rainy days when you don't want to leave the pub. Highly recommend
Malt n Hops serves a very good selection of ales... all well cared-for, in a friendly atmosphere. Also, the sandwiches are very good value - as is the barmaid's banter. A must-visit for beer fans.Nb: Surreal beer garden.
