Very nice food and drinks at reasonable prices.friendly staff would recommend this public house to anyone.
Beer was good. Bar staff spent more time checking their phones rather than pulling pints. They also called last orders 15 mins early on Saturday Night before Christmas!

Visited here many times before for food and drink always made to feel welcome. But went in here on wed night and a brilliant night quiz night was on we took part didn't do well but enjoyed it. Something different. Will definitely be back here again
We called about 8pm on Sat night for a reservation of lunch at 1:30pm for the day after (Sunday) for my mother's birthday. They fitted us in and were were friendly on the phone. When we arrived the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, showed us to our table. The food was just what we were looking for. Proper pub grub. The menu had a fantastic array of foods to choose from, something for whatever mood you are in, and at the delight of my mother they also had the choice of having a small portion, as she can never finish a full meal. They do take card (to my delight) as long as it's over 5.00. I'm always a little apprehensive in country pubs such as this because I've come across my fair share that still do not and I am not a carrier of cash. The meals were great value for money and when they came were piping hot and proper home cooked food, real chips and very tasty. The staff throughout were always pleasant and smiley and I will most certainly be going again. It's also worth noting that they offer a single cafetiere which is one of my most favourite things in life!
