I cant help but feel that this little restaurant doesnt realize how good it is. The menus are somewhat shabby, the interior and ambience is plain but ohh my god the food is good and offers excellent value. I had a steak and ale pie for 7.95 on the lunch menu - which was in fact better then some i have had for double the price. Thumbs upbto the chef! Proper homecooked chips as well. This chef cares about your food. Good things to come i hope!
The food is amazing, well worth the money. Although I didn't stay in the rooms my brother did an they are very modern.Met the owner who is lovely,very welcoming, friendly. The staff are great. Brilliant service

Fantastic pub with a fantastic range of food, the staff are great and the meet and greet / waiting on is first class, very cosy yet classy feel, it's a firm favourite and as someone from the local area it's one of the best places to eat by far.
