I passed the last reviewer on the way out after giving up on our food. An hour and ten minutes and the tables in front of us still hadn't been served.Sunday lunch in a cosy pub on a wintry day sounds wonderful but in reality it wasnt really. The waitress was lovely and very apologetic but I wouldnt go again. Sorry.
The longest wait I have ever had to wait for food in a restaurant/pub, when we complained more than twice and was going to leave they finally brought out some sad looking dishes. Some of the food was very good but for example the Lasagna tasted like just beef stock cube. Definitely not coming again. Very disappointed. To be fair, they gave us the meals for free after many complaints.
Food was piping hot, and great portions of it as well, love the ambience and staff were great, will definitely come here again soon.
There for Christmas Lunch....beautiful food...couldn't finish it all...huge portions. Lovely friendly staff. Would certainly do it again next Christmas
Came as a couple for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed, tender beef and beautiful rich gravy, couldn't fit in a dessert will defiantly go back.
